So why add images to pages if only text is indexed?

by

Image Optimization drives substantial amount of traffic to the sites. But Google can’t read the content of the image. It reads the metadata that we provide to the image. These metadatas can be:

  • Image text
  • Alt tag (what appears if image is not loaded or if it gets deleted from the server)

The images should be optimized so that it doesn’t affect page loading time negatively. Images should be optimized in a way that it doesn’t lose its quality and remains legible.
